Today in our atelier almond cake and coffee

As some of you may know, I’m a pretty good cook. Almost every day I spend a lot of attention on dinner. But I never did any baking. And now al of a sudden I find myself baking cakes! My first attempt was a banana bread and the photo shows my third almond cake. A terribly thickening but very easy to make, delicious, Portuguese recipe.

Whoever comes by in our atelier today will get a little bite …

250 grams Almond flour, 300 grams of fine sugar, butter to grease, 2 tablespoons flour, 7 eggs, half teaspoon of cinnamon, powdered sugar.

Beat the eggs and add the sugar and cinnamon. Add the flour and the almond flour. Stir well together. Fill a cake form with butter (I use a silicone form of Dr. Oetker of 23 cm diameter) Place the cake for about half an hour in the oven at 175 degrees, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Success!
