Not all of the photos are up-to-date, but it does give a glimpse into our recent lives. This is our lazy dog Fons in between the chickens.
The dogwood was just magnificent this year.
Waiting for the dinner guest to arrive … Since 2 years we are members of a dinner club. Cooking for 12 people is quite a challenge but it is always fun.
My herb garden. Now that it hasn’t been raining for so long, sometimes even a wood pigeon is taking a bath in the bird bath.
Kayacking with the dogs. Our adoption dog Rubia sits on the front deck of the canoe. I’ll bet it is not long before she will finally fall into the water.

Marion, it looks like a slice of paradise. I am very curious about what you had on the menu the night you invited 12 people over to eat.

Hello Dawn,
Sorry, I was on a small break and didn’t see your comment. There are 2 strict vegetarians in the group, so I had beet salade, with a dressing of horseradish, toast made of cornbread, pieces of raw haring and for the vegetarians a soft boiled egg. Ratatouille and rice as a main course, with salade on the side. Creme brulee as a dessert and coffee with homemade cake.
I do have this tiny kitchen, no dish wasser and no coffee machine. Its a lot of fun but it takes me about 3 days!
