Spoons Mural  by Joshua Vogel

The ‘Spoons Mural’ is a wall installation that is made up of three wormy chestnut panels, formatted to be hung either horizontally or vertically. The one hundred & seventeen spoons and pegs are all carved of solid holly whose striking natural color highlights the rhythm and organic quality of handmade work.

In the 90’s of the previous century, Joshua Vogel was located in New York City where he worked to establish his first studio. Joshua co-founded BDDW, a recognizable, heirloom quality, American made furniture & design company.

Ultimately choosing the country lifestyle over that of the city, Joshua moved to the Hudson Valley to rediscover the basics; not only of life …

… but of design, woodworking & his first love – wood sculpture.
