We had bought the rubies a while ago. They were patiently waiting for a beautiful destination. Then we recently bought these white opals and I immediately thought of the rubies. Wouldn’t this be a wonderful combination?

They turned out beautifully, Marion! I love the matt finish of the ruby, and it’s form. Hmmm, does the name of your new dog Rubia have anything to do with your love of rubies? 🙂

Well thank you Dawn. No I thought that would be too obvious. Rubia is blonde in Spanish. Actually it means a blonde woman. She already had the name when she came and she listened so very well to her name that I didn’t dare to change it. (which is nonsense, I know, but still …)
