Antony Gormley’s biggest sculpture ever

Following a previous post I wrote about Antony Gormley, a friend of mine pointed out that the latest work of this sculptor is being unveiled tomorrow September 17, 2010, in Lelystad, The Netherlands. For more info about this event please go to this site

It is a huge sculpture of over 25 meters high and weighs 60 tons and is the largest and most complex work of the artist.

Balancing on the edge of land and water a 26 meters high squatting man looks out over the water of the Markermeer in Lelystad. This huge human figure is a landmark in the open landscape, of the Flevopolder in the Netherlands.

Exposure, made by British artist Antony Gormley is the sixth Land Art project of Flevoland, The Netherlands since the realization of Observatorium by Robert Morris in 1977.
