Once upon a time Jan and I went to an exhibition of designers and artists in the tropical greenhouses of the Hortus in Utrecht.  The artists work was very inspiring but also the beautiful ambiance. In one of the greenhouses a water basin was located with enormous (tropical) lily leaves floating on the surface of the water.

This beautiful scene casted a positive spell on Jan and it inspired him to make this abstract and a symmetrical shape witch resembles strongly lily leaves.

The ring is made of sterling silver. The top of the ring has a slightly concave shape and has a diameter of about 2 cm. Most of the top is made black and next to it you will find a piece of 18 carat gold. The golden piece slants a little bit downward.

The ring is made in a limited edition. The design is by Jan Kerkstra.
On request this ring can also be made with red gold.
