A beautiful necklace from the series ‘Hip to be Square’. This piece radiates robustness and natural beauty. 

The blocks are made of walnut and ebony and measure 12x12mm. The longer you wear the necklace the darker and more intense will the color of the walnut wood become. This is because you ‘oil’ the wood with your skin. 

Between the wooden blocks you can see anthracite-colored beads made of hematite. The dark-gray hematite is matt. The necklace looks as though it might be heavy because of its robust appearance. This is not the case, since it just happens to be extremely light.

The necklase measures 45 cm. Because the necklace is strung on fantastically strong and elastic wire its fits over the head.

The series ‘Hip To Be Square is a design we both worked on. The necklaces are made in a limited edition.
