Two fun Fairs and a restaurant called Proef!

As some of you may know, Jan and I are very busy at the moment preparing for the Design and Craft event Meesterlijk in Amsterdam where we will present our latest jewelry late September. We are making lots of new jewelry pieces and we also have to think about fun ideas for ways to show our jewelry … so I really hope that we have time to visit Keramisto a major international ceramic market.

Keramisto takes place September 15 and 16, 2012 in a big park  in Milsbeek, The Netherlands. Over 100 critically selected ceramists from all over Europe will show their work.

One of my favorite ceramic artists participating at Keramisto is Enno Jaekel.

Doing a fair like Meesterlijk is always fun but also very tiring especially with openings hours until 21.00 at night!

Any way we hope to eat out one night in this beautiful restaurant named PROEF RESTAURANT, which is located in the nearby Westerpark.

Dutch “eating designer” Marije Vogelzang came up with the original concept for Proef Restaurant; she first opened the restaurant in Rotterdam, relocated to Amsterdam in 2006, and sold it to her former business partner Piet Hekker in 2011 so she could focus more on her design work. PROEF serves “pure, honest and cheerful food” on large wooden boards to share.

I have heard the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the meals very pretty and delicious.
