It has been a while since I saw a nice barn house but here is Ochre Barn a minimalist barn located in Norfolk, east England, designed by architect Carl Turner and Mary Martin as a quiet getaway for them and their friends.
They based the design on the not obvious material osb, made from pressed tree chippings and resin, and I think the result is beautifully original and pioneering. I really like it.
” Internally we have kept the large open spaces, working with the notion of buildings within buildings to define individual spaces.”
This afternoon I am going to Museum De Buitenplaats in Eelde, The Netherlands for the opening of the exhibition “Tuin der Lusten” (Garden of Earthly Delights). Artists like … Natasja Bennink, Eveline van Duyl, Douwe Elias, Eline Krottje, Melle en Matthijs Rölin, Jan Steen and lots more.
The “Tuin der Lusten” exhibition will still run during our Jewelry Presentation at this same Museum, July 14 and 15, 2012. I promise to tell you all about it next week.
This is the Orangery in the Museums garden, where we will have our Jewelry Presentation. (nice contrast with the house above)
