Nibble, nibble like a mouse, who is nibbling at my house?

This alternative garden shed is named EETHUIS and is designed by Marijke Bruinsma of De Stuurlui, an Atelier for  town-planning and landscape in collaboration with Atelier Gras and commissioned by De Tuinen van Appeltern in The Netherlands.

EETHUIS shows us the unlimited possibilities of the many varieties of edible greenery and new methods of tasty gardening.

This is a new method of vertical gardening. Not only the soil but also the walls and the roof of EETHUIS are used to cultivate vegetables, fruit and flowers.

The cultivation of food on the ground/soil shifts to the cultivation of edible greenery in a modular system of crates that makes use of expertise and techniques developed in intensive crop production.
