Textile Artist

Abigail Doan is a fiber and environmental installation artist based in New
York City, Sofia (Bulgary) and she owns an old farm in rural Italy.

She has exhibited her art projects with the United Nations Environment Programme and in numerous international gallery and design venues.

Abigail is a regular contributor on sustainable fashion and textiles for Eco Fashion Wolrd,  The EthicalFashion ForumEcoutere  and  Inhabitat.

Her collages and fiber sculptures are both delicate looking and complex, not to mention downright pretty. The materials she uses (such as seed pods, recycled fibers, newspapers, and household detritus) reference the natural world and how we fit in.

For more of her work you can go to Abigail’s site  or her Tumblr.

She also keeps an interesting art and fashion blog, Ecco*Eco, with many links to other artists.
